Attributes configuration

You can add an arbitrary number of attributes to each document type. These attributes define metadata of a document and may be presented as search fields in a client. Attributes are constrained by an input type in order to restrict a value to a certain range, e.g. text, decimal or date.

Click Select Document Type and choose the desired one from the list. Open the Attributes tab. The list box in the left area contains identifiers of attributes defined for the current document type.

You can visually differentiate between attribute families (normal, linked, system and virtual attributes):

  • Referenced attributes are shown in italic.

  • System and virtual attributes are shown in gray.

You can adjust the order of an attribute, e.g. in the list of search indexes or in the list for the document, by clicking the arrow buttons right next to the attribute list or using the drag-and-drop. The attribute will be shifted up or down. By default system attributes are always last.

Select an attribute to display its properties in the right-hand side:
