Messaging for ERP

The Messaging for ERP, also known as “(SAP) Messenger”, enables an import of documents into ImageMaster with a registration for SAP access. See SAP and content server in an ImageMaster environment.

Two use case scenarios can be distinguished based on the differentiation between “late scanning” (Barcode) and “early scanning” (Workitem) in SAP:

In the scenario of late scanning, an incoming document, or rather its metadata set, is assigned a bar code. The metadata set can already be attached to an SAP workflow and document content itself may be provided at a later stage with the given bar code.

In the scenario of early scanning, document content is provided in ImageMaster (e.g. by FIS) and then registered in SAP. An SAP user then typically picks a document from an incoming pool of documents with content already available (e.g. paper document has already been scanned) and connects this to a new SAP workflow.

For a detailed description of the configuration, processing and related functions see the separate manual [SM ERP MSG].
