Introduction and system overview

Financial institutes more and more substitute their traditional mail communication with the electronic equivalent. Communication documents are created electronically and it is the customers’ responsibility to read them via the respective online banking application. Nevertheless the financial institute has the obligation to monitor this process in order to take some measures if the customer does not read it, e.g. e-mail notification or forced printing. Furthermore the customer must be able to access easily new incoming documents and probably must have a possibility to archive important ones.

The ImageMaster Postbox solution provides functionality that can be used in a banking application to provide the customer with a view on the personal mail communication. It also supports status tracking and provides interfaces to integrate the application into an existing banking portal. The described Postbox functionality can be considered as an add-on to the standard ImageMaster functionality.

The ImageMaster Postbox must not be used in combination with ImageMaster groups. This is currently not supported!

For a general ImageMaster overview see the product description [T Product Description]. Additionally, see the latest release notes [T Release Notes] for known defects and usage restrictions.
