Introduction and overview
The ImageMaster Postbox solution is employed by companies in order to carry out partly digital correspondence with many end customers on a large scale. The Postbox is integrated into an existing customer portal like it is common practice in the banking industry, where a private customer, for example, logs into a personal area to check a bank account statement.
In this course the PostboxClient is utilized by two main roles: on the one hand this is the private customer who receives receipts, and on the other hand this is an account manager on company side who can communicate with the customer by correspondences.
From the perspective of the communicating company, features are supported in the background, which facilitate the administration. This includes a tracking to check if a document was opened and the possibility to trigger printing and traditional letter postage for all unread documents of a customer to fulfill legal requirements.
Whereas this documentation covers the areas in the PostboxClient which are available to end users in both of the main roles, general configuration aspects, which can only be set up by the technical system administration, are described in the AdminClient user manual [UM AdminClient].
