Handling workflow tasks (ImageMaster BPM)

The functionality described below is only accessible if your configuration allows it.

The ImageMaster Business Process Management (BPM) Add-on is reflected by additional views and functionality that appears in the WorkplaceClient. This add-on can only be licensed on top of the WorkplaceClient. Under the hood a workflow engine is integrated on server-side, which manages the document state transitions and schedules automated or timed events like sending reminders or a notification about a document change.

Based on the ImageMaster BPM Add-on, users have access to group-based task lists, where they can invoke workflow actions on documents. Typically these are actions like reviewing and approving documents. A document can be rejected so the author is forced to revise it before further approval. Such a document can initially be in a draft state, which then changes with an approval so it becomes accessible to a broader audience.

Documents related to a workflow are shown in the My Tasks room. Some information fields are present by default such as the task name and the latest change date. Whether other fields are displayed depends on the special adaptation to customer needs. At least the views described below are offered.
