Coordinator settings

An Exchange Coordinator defines the behavior of the archive process. An Exchange server may have multiple Coordinators attached, and each Coordinator can be attached to several Exchange servers. Each Exchange server must have at least one Coordinator attached.

Click the Coordinator Settings tab to create and set up Coordinators.

Figure 159: E-mail – Coordinator settings

The screen has the following structure:

  • In the upper area, you can select a Coordinator and start further basic actions:

    • add a new Coordinator

    • copy or delete an existing Coordinator entry with belonging settings

    • validate Coordinator settings

    • show belonging servers of a Coordinator

  • In the lower area, you can pick specific settings via subtabs to show or edit them. For related details see chapters General Coordinator settings.

If the Coordinator list is empty (within a newly installed system), the Common subtab is selected and all other settings are disabled. You must first add a Coordinator to be able to navigate to the other settings in their subtabs.

If a Coordinator is attached to one or more Exchange servers, all changes of Coordinator settings will be applied to all Exchange servers that use the selected Coordinator.
