Managing document locks

All the currently set document locks are displayed in the Document Locks view. You can view and manage all the locks if you have enough permissions.

To view locks, expand the panel Maintenance in the sliding navigation menu and click Document Locks .

The view consists of three panels:

  • The hit list: By default all the existing locks are shown in the hit list. The common ImageMaster sorting and navigating functionality is available. To update the hit list, click “Reset” . The following parameters are displayed in the locks hit list:

    • Document: document identifier

    • Summary: short description based on attribute values

    • Type: document type of the locked document

    • User: the name of the user who is currently working on the document

    • Check Out: date and time when the lock was set

    • Last Modified: date and time when the last changes were saved

  • The upper filter panel: The list can be filtered by document type and by user.

  • The functional panel: See the section below for the available actions.

You can perform the following actions with document locks:

  • Search for documents that are currently locked by users.

  • Release locks.

To search for document locks

  • Click to add a filter. The following filter options are available:

    • Document Type: Select the box to restrict the hit list to the specific document type. Select document types in the appeared menu and click Apply.

      The hit list will be restricted to the selected document types.

    • User: Select the box to restrict the hit list to the specific user.

      Specify the username and click Apply:

      The hit list will be restricted to specified user.

  • To delete the filter, click the cross sign near the filter entry in the filter panel.

To release locks 1

  • Select one or several locks in the hit list and click Cancel Checkout.

  • The lock will be released and all the changes of the working copy will be discarded.
