Archive Recovery Management
The Archive Recovery Management (ARM) feature of ImageMaster allows improving archiving processes in situations when a physical storage is temporarily unavailable. ARM has two different modes of operation. The auto recover mode which allows handling temporary storage outages automatically and the manual recover mode which supports an administrator in handling a temporary storage outage. The latter mode requires manual intervention by an administrator.
As of 9.5.2 the archiving logic of ImageMaster has changed due to the introduction of the parameter “minCopy” for realms and due to the introduction of the temporary unavailability mechanism for archives. To configure ARM correctly and to understand how ARM works (this is relevant for both modes), it is important to grasp these new concepts.
