Introduction

The ImageMaster document management methodology has been inspired by the comprehensive MoReq2 framework. The Integration Service provides the core functionality for handling documents in the service-oriented document management methodology in ImageMaster since version 9. The Integration Service is a web services package which represents the lowest level API to be used by other front end applications, services or by any external system to be integrated.

Further ImageMaster web services, which are out of scope of this documentation, the so called “enriched services”, such as FIS for batch import and export or the services for ERP Archiving, ERP Messaging and ERP Information Lifecycle Management (e.g. based on SAP/ArchiveLink or SAP/ILM integration) rely on this API. Some enriched services may additionally use the internal system interface (ImaIntegration Beans), which is not part of this documentation. Within the Integration Service a conceptual distinction can be drawn between system management services or basic document management services.

The Integration Service is released in the shape of an EAR file which has to be deployed on an application server, such as JBoss or WildFly. For further details and prerequisites on installation and configuration see the corresponding installation manual [IM ImageMaster].
