Installation of 3D viewer

This chapter describes the installation of the Kisters 3D ViewStation WebViewer which is required to view 3D documents in ImageMaster.

Installation flow

The installation is accomplished by the following steps:

1. installation of the server component

2. configuration of the server component

3. configuration in the ImageMaster 9 AdminClient

4. setting up a job to clean the model repository network file share

For the part in chapter Configuration in the ImageMaster 9 AdminClient it is assumed that ImageMaster itself, i.e. the Integration Service which also includes the ImageMaster AdminClient, is already installed according to the separate installation manual [IM ImageMaster].

Requirements

To use the 3D viewing functionalities in an environment with the ImageMaster Content Services for 3D Structures, you need the following:

• KISTERS 3D ViewStation WebViewer Version 2024 [3DViewStation]

• a Windows environment where the WebViewer can be installed

  Specific operating system and hardware requirements (one or more GPU cards are necessary for the server side rendering of the 3D data) must be clarified with the vendor depending on your needs.

• a network share (Model Repository) that is both reachable from ImageMaster 9 and the WebViewer server
