MIME type mapping (to SAP document classes)

This configuration defines how MIME types in ImageMaster are mapped to SAP document classes when registering a document from ImageMaster in SAP.

Other MIME type-related mappings also exist. The following configuration is independent of those mappings, which are summarized in the section Mappings in the context of MIME types below.

The MIME Type Mapping sub-tab presents the list of currently known SAP document classes and their mapping to MIME types, which are also available in an ImageMaster environment:

Mappings in the context of MIME types

There is a separate ERP mapping in which MIME types reported by SAP are mapped to the file extensions of ImageMaster attachments. This is described in the section “ArchiveLink → MIME type to file extension mapping” in the ERP system manual [SM ERP].

ImageMaster includes a general MIME type mapping that controls how the integrated viewer handles specific content types. This ensures that content supplied via the SAP content server can also be viewed by ImageMaster clients. The mapping is provided by default and usually does not require changes. Configuration is only needed in rare cases, such as when new SAP document classes must be mapped to existing MIME types at a later stage. See section MIME types (system configuration).
