Introduction
Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) is an open standard that allows different content management systems to inter-operate over the Internet. With the SAP certified module “CMIS for ERP” ImageMaster supports an interface with methods based on this CMIS standard used in scenarios with an SAP integration.
For the official specification of CMIS, see [CMIS].
ImageMaster’s implementation of CMIS focuses on SAP compliance. Therefore, CMIS is a protocol that will be used in the future for connecting ImageMaster to SAP S/4 HANA private cloud and SAP S/4 HANA public cloud. Furthermore, CMIS is used to connect ImageMaster to SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
The implementation has been officially certified by SAP.
The administration of CMIS is built-in to ImageMaster client. Via ImageMaster AdminClient it is possible to do the following:
-
display and administrate the CMIS folder structure
-
administrate several CMIS repositories
-
display collected metrics about CMIS repositories
-
create roles and users to fine-granularly grant permissions to specific API endpoints and methods
Additionally, it is possible to use a REST interface to create, delete, and update both ArchiveLink and CMIS documents. This makes the integration and administration of documents as easy as possible. For related details see the system manual of the Content Services for ERP [SM ERP], section ERP REST interface for ArchiveLink and CMIS.
