Requesting document deletion

The request document deletion feature introduces a secure mechanism to enable the deletion of documents in audit-proof archives, addressing the requirements of GDPR. Authorization required for processing deletion requests, for more details see section in [UM AdminClient].

To request deletion of a document

  1. Select a document to be deleted.

  2. Select Request Deletion from the Documents menu either from the hot list, document preview or document view.

  3. Specify a reason for the document deletion and click Request Deletion:

  4. Users with permissions to approve the request will be notified by e-mail. All the deletion requests will be collected in the Maintenance > Privileged Deletion.

  5. When your request is approved or denied you will be notified by e-mail.
