Handling workflow tasks (ImageMaster BPM)
The functionality described below is only accessible if your configuration allows it.
The ImageMaster Business Process Management (BPM) Add-on extends the WorkplaceClient with additional views and workflow-related functionality. This add-on requires a separate license and is available only in combination with the WorkplaceClient.
The BPM add-on integrates a server-side workflow engine that manages state transitions for both individual documents and entire dossiers. It automates tasks such as sending reminders or notifications when relevant items change.
With the BPM add-on, users can access group-based task lists and perform workflow actions on documents or dossiers—typically including review and approval. Items may be rejected during review, requiring the author or responsible user to revise the content before further approval can continue. Documents and dossiers often begin in a draft or initial state and transition to a completed or published state upon approval, making them accessible to a wider audience.
Forms displayed in the client are designed using Flowable Designer and may include supported elements such as text fields, date pickers, dropdown menus, boxes, and alert messages. Only compatible components are used to ensure proper rendering and reliable operation.
Workflow-related documents appear in the My Tasks area. By default, task name and last modification date are displayed. The visibility of additional fields depends on customer-specific configuration. At a minimum, the views described below are available.
