The Stamping Service cannot apply stamp overlays to encrypted or password-protected PDF files. Because ImageMaster cannot decrypt these binary objects without manual password authentication, applying stamps is technically unsupported.
User-facing impact:
If a document belongs to a document type with an active stamp configuration, attempting to view or print the document (including its PDF attachments) in the ImageMaster UI will fail (error CLS-00103 / InvalidPasswordException). The system will throw a repository error (CLS-00103) because it cannot generate the stamped rendition on-the-fly.
Resolution / workarounds:

Decrypt the source file: Re-upload or archive the PDF attachment in an unencrypted/unprotected state.

Disable stamping: If password protection is strictly required for these documents, they must be assigned to a document type that does not have a stamp configured.
