Profiles and configuration

A profile represents configuration settings which are stored on ImageMaster server side (in the database) and which are maintained by the AdminClient, see section FIS profiles management in [UM AdminClient]. The profile settings can be overridden by parameters which have been set directly in FIS commands in a call from the console (also see chapter Import with the command line interface and chapter Overriding server-side profile settings locally). For related information see:

Before being able to run a FIS process, such as an import for example, there must be at least one profile defined. In a new ImageMaster installation there is always a default profile available.

In the server-side ImageMaster FIS profile configuration a Boolean parameter is interpreted as true, if the string argument is "true", where case is ignored. Any other value is interpreted as false.
