ImageMaster AdminClient

The ImageMaster AdminClient provides functionality that is only accessible to users with specific administration permissions. The administrative functionality covers the following topics:

  • Basic configuration:

    • Operational Settings (e.g. Host/ IP, Port, and timeout settings)

    • Logging (e.g. defining log levels for specific packages or classes)

    • MIME Types

    • Licenses and system information

    • Archive and storage configuration

    • Security configuration with integrated password store and password manager

    • Configuration of the ImageMaster Business Process Management (BPM) Add-on

  • Administering the document structure and special features:

    • Creating or updating document types

    • Defining attributes, their formats, restrictions, and labels (with multilingual support)

    • Activating and customizing stamps (which appear as overlays in PDF document renditions)

  • Administering users and roles with corresponding permissions

  • Maintenance and power user functionality:

    • Bookmark and search publications

    • Events for full-text search, mail archiving, Messaging for ERP and SharePoint

    • Audit trails

    • Bulk export

    • Legal holds

    • Document locks

    • Recycle bin

    • Reporting

    • Dashboards for mail archiving, file share archiving and ERP services (with an SAP integration)

  • Configuring additional components and services such as:

    • Full-text

    • Tenants

    • FIS (i.e. the File Interoperability Service for bulk import and export)

    • ImageMaster Services for ERP (SAP Archive Link, SAP Messenger and SAP ILM)

    • ImageMaster Content Services for E-Mail (ImageMaster for Microsoft Exchange)

    • ImageMaster Content Services for SharePoint

    • ImageMaster Content Services for File Shares

    • The advanced PDF viewer (based on Jadice)

    • URL access to documents

    • ImageMaster Content Services for 3D Structures

ImageMaster Business Process Management allows a workflow configuration per document type via the AdminClient. The scope of settings in the ImageMaster AdminClient is restricted to the interaction with documents. For example, you can specify different kinds of triggers that start a workflow (like manual start, on document creation or on document update).

The AdminClient is not used to customize a workflow in terms of specifying a process definition. To design the actual model with a flow sequence that consists of single tasks, a separate web application based on a third-party product is integrated into ImageMaster.
