An immutable audit trail allows for tracking which user or system has executed which operation at which exact time, which includes the possibility to permanently trace all configuration processes. This is sometimes required to fulfill legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. to be able to identify the user who deleted a document). In ImageMaster audit trails can be activated optionally, and related settings can be configured via the ImageMaster AdminClient
The configuration allows an administrator to define a filter that determines which events are to be tracked. All typical Integration Service web services methods can be subject to the audit trail mechanism, so it is possible to track when a document type, a revision, or content has been created, updated, or deleted, or when a general query has been issued. Moreover, any configuration activity can be filtered to be able to trace back when a specific configuration was set.
