Copying documents

You can create a new document based on the currently selected document by copying all the metadata (excluding the attachments):

  1. Select the document you want to copy in the hit list.

  2. In the document view expand the Document menu and select Copy.

  3. Modify attributes, if desired (see chapter Modifying attributes for details).

    The document type is predefined based on the original document and can be changed in the list.

  4. Optionally add attachments, if desired (see chapter Working with document attachments for details). The copy action does not copy the attachments of the original document.

  5. Select the box Create Another if you immediately want to create another document.

    Attribute values of the previous document are taken as defaults for the new document unless default values have already been configured for the document type.

  6. Confirm the changes by clicking Save. To cancel your changes click the button Cancel.
