Access to audit trail

There are the following areas of audit trails access:

  • read and update access to the audit trail in both the user and the administration view

  • an administrator access to configure rules for recording audit trails

To provide access to audit trails in the user and administration view

  1. Enter the room Users and Roles and click the tab Roles.

  2. Create the role “auditRole” for the user that is supposed to have access to the Audit Trail.

  3. For the “auditRole”, click the tab General Administration. See chapter General administration permissions for details.

  4. For the configuration Audit Trail, set the Read permission to “Enabled”.

  5. A user with the assigned “auditRole” will have access to the following areas:

    • In the user view of the ImageMaster WorkplaceClient, the Audit Trail configuration room is displayed. See Audit trail for details.

      For the user to be able to export the audit trails list from the user view, the Export permission must be set to “Enabled” in the Document Types panel for at least one document type. See chapter Document type administration permissionsfor details.

    • In the administration view, the Audit tab with the configured rules will be displayed in the System room.

      To allow the user to also configure audit trail rules in the administration view, set the Update permission to “Enabled”. The Audit tab in the System room will then be available for update operations. Also see the next section for details.

Enabling and configuring audit trail rules

  1. Log in as a user who has the “auditRole” assigned.

  2. Enter the room System and click the tab Audit.

  3. On the Settings panel, select Enable to activate audit trails for the system.

  4. Configure rules for auditing in ImageMaster. See chapter Audit trail configuration for details.
